Tokai Yozai Co., Ltd. is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2022.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our customers and suppliers who have supported us continuously.
At the same time, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our alumni, alumnae and our current employees who have united in overcoming many difficulties.
In 1922, my grandfather, Einosuke Matsushita, founded "Matsushita Einosuke Shoten" with the aim of selling welding supplies within port construction works.
Then, my father, Eichiro Matsushita, succeeded the company in his teens and changed the company's name to Tokai Yozai Co., Ltd..
My father served as president for 50 years and built the foundation of the company and the group companies.
He also reformed the business practices of the industry and implemented several new business systems and measures.
As the third generation, my elder brother, Masami Matsushita, built our company into a leading company of the industry during 16 years as president.
He also contributed to the industry and society as chairman of the Shizuoka prefecture High Pressure Gas Melting Material Association and chairman of the Shizuoka Prefecture High Pressure Gas Safety Association.
After I became the fourth president of the company, significant events such as the "Lehman Shock" and "Great East Japan Earthquake" occurred.
However, we were able to get through each of these crisises with the warm supports from our customers, the strong encouragement of our suppliers, and the hard work of the employees.
As the next stage of our business development, we decided to shift from a business structure centered on domestic demand to overseas business with high potential demand.
We founded TOKAI YOZAI TRADING COPORATION in Dalian, China in 2011. Then, we established TOKAI WELDING (THAILAND) CO., LTD. as a sales base and TOKAI WELDING AUTOMATION (THAILAND) CO., LTD.
as a production base. These bases operate with a focus on local Japanese-affiliated companies and they are performing well. In addition, we are working for further strengthening of the relationship with them.

In 2022, our company has stridden ahead. With our company's motto, "Engage yourself in work with sincerity and put yourself in harmony with others", as our starting point, we will aim for the next 10 years, 20 years, and another 100 years while repeating the process of making choices to become a sustainable company that is needed by society.
